I have always used Mobil 1 full synthetic motorcyle oil and a Honda oem filter but was at the auto parts store where i buy the oil and they had these filters listed in the book for the VTX 1300. This can be caused by various things including low oil level, failed oil pump, blocked oil passages and a failed oil pressure sensor. Running an engine when the oil pressure light is on is a recipe for disaster.
